Mabel Tunheim, 95, of Warren, MN, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Warren, MN. Interment was held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Newfolden, MN.
Mabel Ingalls was born on July 22, 1915 in Spruce Valley Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Ethel and Anna (Magnuson) Ingalls. She attended Monroe School. After her schooling, Mabel did domestic work for many families.
On July 4, 1942, she married Theodore Tunheim in Holt, MN. They made their home on a farm in rural Newfolden, MN. Ted died in 1958. After his death, Mabel moved to Warren, MN. She went to work at the Good Samaritan Center in 1962 as a cook. In her later years. she cleaned at Bremer Bank.
She attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and she volunteered at the Food Shelf and at the Marshall County Fair in the Warren Senior Citizens Booth.
Mabel had many hobbies including sewing, mending, reading, clipping items from the newspapers, working with flowers and plants and working with hands-on projets. She enjoyed and loved children. Mabel had received many awards for her community deeds.
Left to mourn her passing are her brother, Clarence Ingalls of McMinnville, MN; sister, Ellen Erickson of Warren, MN. Gladys Blakstvedt of Maple Grove, MN, Betty Ruth Ingalls of Winona MN, and Cora Ravndalen of Roosevelt, MN; sister-in-law, Bertha Tunheim of Newfolden, MN; nieces and nephews, Larry, Lenay, Keith, Keven, Kendall, Kyle, Eltune, Ellette, Ethel, Mark, Milo, Merlin, and LaDonn; several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gail and Lolly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Willam and Arsa; sisters, Edith and three sisters in infancy; special nephew, Elvis; one great-great-niece and two great-great-nephews.
