Diane Clarice Walton, the daughter of the late John and Christine (Bukowski) Black, was born on Nov. 29, 1965, at Karlstad, MN. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Middle River community, graduating from Middle River High School in 1984. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Middle River. On July 27, 1985, Diane was united in marriage to Brent Walton at St. Joseph’s and they spent their 17 years of married life in the Middle River community. Diane worked at Marvin Windows for several years and had day care in her home. She later worked at I.M.S and currently at Northern Pride Turkey Plant, both in Thief River Falls. Diane enjoyed gardening and her flowers, crafting and the outdoors in general. She passed away unexpectedly at her home near Karlstad on Sun. afternoon, Feb. 15, 2015, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 16 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (fiancé: Adam Sparby), of Warren, and son: Austin Walton, of Newfolden; two brothers: Allen Black, of Middle River, and Randy (Toni), of Tenstrike, MN; five sisters: JoAnn Black, of Argyle, MN, Patty Hoover, Thief River Falls, Cathy (Mike) Schenkey, Middle River, Barb (Lowell) Warne, of Grygla, MN, and Cindy Levenhagen, of Thief River Falls; several Godchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law: Troy Levenhagen, nephew: Dustin Black, and niece: Denise Beito.
Memorial services will be held at 7 P.M. Thur. at First Lutheran Church in Middle River with Sheryl Carriere officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thur. evening at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery near Middle River in the Spring.
