Lowell John Westberg, 53, of Warren, MN, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on November 11, 2008.
Lowell was born on April 13, 1955 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Leverne and Christine (Skreland) Westberg. He graduated from Warren High School in 1973. He attended Thief River Falls vocational school and graduated with an autobody degree. On December 13, 1975, he married his high school sweetheart, Virginia Louise Beck. Lowell and Ginny opened Westberg Body Shop in 1983, which he continued to own/operate with Ginny and son Marshall at the time of his death.
Family meant everything to Lowell. He was a dedicated husband and father, and the world’s best grandpa. Lowell’s boisterous laugh and fun-loving sense of humor touched everyone he met. He thoroughly enjoyed spending weekends at Round Lake surrounded by family and friends.
Lowell had been an active member and past president of the Warren Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the past 28 years. He was proud of his many years of service and enjoyed helping the community. He was also a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Leverne and Christine; brother David; grandparents; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Ginny; son Murry and his wife Amie, and their children Kaylie and Miley of Park Rapids, MN; son Marshall and his wife Daria, and their children Ian and Bella of Warren, MN; daughter Mallory Craik and her husband Jake of Grafton, ND and several cousins.
