Betty Zutz, 80, of Warren, MN, passed away on Mar 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Betty May Meyer was born on May 12, 1930 in Warren, the daughter of Edward and Louis (Johannes) Meyer. She attended and graduated from Warren High School. On Apr 30, 1952, she married Dale Zutz at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA. After Dale’s discharge from the Navy, they returned to the area and lived in rural Radium, MN and Crookston, MN before settling in the Radium area. They moved to Warren in 1992.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Warren.
Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their school and sporting events, especially basketball. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, bowling, 4-H activities and helping out on the farm. Betty volunteered at the Marshall County Fair in the Domestics Department.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Dale; three children, Ronnie Zutz, Deborah (John) Copp and Loren (Deb) Zutz all of Warren, MN; seven grandchildren, Jerred Copp, Jami Verkuehlen, Jacki Postma, Kelsey Zutz, Lisa Zutz, Kayla Anvary and Ethan Zutz; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Postma, Jaci Verkuehlen and Ryker Copp; two sisters, Elli Lucian of Seattle, WA and Margaret Flicek of Warren, MN; brother, Paul Meyer of Warren, MN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jeffrey Zutz.
