Whenever we talk about sharing references and resources, it is important to remind ourselves about copyrights. As genealogists and archivists we are involved in a cycle of creating works which automatically develop intellectual property rights which we own, and researching/referencing works which may be copyrighted. This is a moment to remember the golden rule: respect the rights of others, as they must respect your rights.
